🗺️ Types of Depth Maps in Fishbox
Fishbox offers two types of depth maps:
NOAA Depth Maps
Included with a Fishbox Premium subscription
Available for U.S. coastal waters and the Great Lakes region
Navionics Depth Maps
Requires a separate Navionics subscription
Available on iOS only
Coverage depends on the areas supported by Navionics
✅ How to Enable Depth Contours
Open the Map tab and tap the Depth button on the right side of the screen
Turn on Depths and select the depth map you want to use (iOS)
🌎 Check Coverage Availability
Before troubleshooting, please make sure the location you're viewing is covered by the depth map you've selected.
NOAA maps are only available for:
U.S. coastal waters
Great Lakes
Navionics coverage varies by region.
If your location is outside the supported coverage area, depth contours will not appear.
🔧 Depth Contours Not Showing?
Try the following:
Confirm that your subscription is active.
Confirm that the location you're viewing is supported.
Zoom in as much as possible on the map.
Wait a few moments for the contours to load.
