Fishbox uses different map markers to help you quickly identify important locations on the map.
Understanding what each marker represents makes it easier to navigate the map, plan your fishing trips, and quickly find the locations and services you need while on the water.
Below is a guide explaining the different markers you may see on the Fishbox map and what each one represents.
Markers
Fishing Spots

These markers are green and feature a fish icon, indicating verified spots where fishing conditions are favorable. These spots are identified based on reliable reports of successful catches, offering you a higher chance of a good catch.
My Places

This red marker appears with a bookmark icon, representing locations you have personally marked. These might include your preferred fishing spots or areas of interest that you wish to explore or monitor for weather and fishing forecasts.
Managing Map Markers
To manage the visibility of markers on your map, simply do the following:
Open Map Settings on the Map tab, scroll down and adjust the settings.
Enable a marker by toggling the switch to the right, or disable it by toggling to the left. An active marker will show a blue switch, while an inactive marker’s switch will appear grey.

By adjusting these settings, you can keep your map clear and suitable for your fishing activities.
